Prof. Karl Skorecki is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Bar Ilan University, Safed. Among his distinguished appointments, he has served as Director of the Rappaport Research Institute, Haifa.
His research discoveries include the Kohanim gene, and have attracted widespread public and media interest, by Sixty Minutes, Newsweek, Nova, National Geographic, Discover, among others.
Karl Skorecki was born and raised in Toronto, Canada,and is the only son of Holocaust survivors. He and his wife, Linda, have five children and 18 grandchildren
